Tips To Prevent Bad Breath

 

  • Brush and floss twice a day and don't forget to brush your tongue to decrease the bad breath causing bacteria in your mouth..  This is Tips to prevent bad breathtrue especially if you are a smoker.
  • Your own saliva and good salivay flow provides a buffer against the acid from your foods.  Chewing gum increases salivary flow, but use sugar-free gum.  Xylitol in the gum is the best artificial sweetner that helps control the acid change during eating. 
  • De-hydration is poor for overall health and especially oral health.  Almost everyone could benefit from dringking more H2O!
  • Guess what?  Aromatic foods will cause bad breath.  Things such as onions, garlic and spicy foods will stay on your breath even if you brush and floss after eating.  If you are going to worry about your breath, maybe you need to avoid those kinds of food.
  • Mouthwashes with an antibacterial properties will increase your oral health.  Even more effective is to add a small amout of hydrogen peroxide then gargle and rinse with that.
  • If you have cavities and especially if you have gum disease your breath will not be fresh.  Those problems are a sign of a high bacteria count and microbes in your mouth.  They are primary causes of bad breath.
