About Dr. Mahan

A native of southeastern Kentucky, Dr. Mahan grew up in the mountains of Appalachia. When Dr. Mahan finished high school, he traveled to Lexington, KY where he attended the University of Kentucky for eight years, earning degrees in Biology and as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). A recent graduate of the University of Kentucky's College of Dentistry, Dr. Mahan is highly trained and dedicated to the newest advancements in cosmetic dentistry, and he is up-to-date with all of the latest technologies. An active member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Mahan takes pride in delivering the highest quality of care to his patients. He is licensed to practice oral sedation dentistry which allows him to be of service to patients who suffer from severe dental anxiety.  Dr. Mahan was trained by DOCS, a national conscious sedation training organization.

When asked about his philosophies of practice, Dr. Mahan responded: "No guilt. I never lecture
any patient and I treat everyone how I would like to be treated.

My job is to not only diagnose and care for my patients, but also to educate them sothat we can prevent future problems before they arise. Earning the trust
of a patient who has had a bad dental experience in the past is what I love
most about my work ." Dr. Mahan is new to the Paducah area, but he already
feels right at home. When he is not practicing his passion for dentistry,
he enjoys playing guitar and loves all sports.
